NOOSA GOAT CO.
Find out how it all began:
We Do Things A Little Different
At Noosa Goat Co we believe food is medicine and Regenerative Farming is the future.
We take on the philosophy of our favourite local agriculture store which has a sign as soon as you walk in that says
We Believe Food Can Be Grown Without Poison.
Why Choose Us?
We are professional breeders of Nigerian Dwarf Goats (ND’s for short) based in the majestic hills of Noosa Hinterland and although we may be biased we believe the Nigerian Dwarf Goat is the perfect goat for homesteaders Their small stature makes them safe around kids and easy to keep in fencing, they come in beautiful colours and unique personalities
(Fun fact goats know their name and will come to you if you call them)
We cater to multiple markets from pets to milking herds, animal therapy and mental health support, land and fire management and professional breeders so we’ve got you covered.
Our herd comes from award winning milking lines ND’s are prized milking goats famous for high butterfat 6-10% Cheese produced from their milk has a very smooth and silky texture making the Nigerian Dwarf a very popular dairy goat for artisan cheese makers you can also make delicious ice cream, kefir yoghurt, skincare, soap and much more.
They have quite a large yield for such a small animal. The Nigerian Dwarf produces an average of 1.8 litres of milk at their peak with the maximum being 4 litres for exceptional does. The type of people who purchase from us are those that are wanting to take control of the health of their family, even those that are buying goats as pets are wanting their family to learn to raise their new babies holistically.
We are pioneers and not everyones cup of tea, it takes dedication to do regenerative farming so we know that when people find us and align with our values we can confidently know that when our goats go to their new homes they will be cherished as important members of the family.
As seen at
Did you know goats horns are organs?
We follow biodynamic principles and do not remove horns from our goats apart from it being extremelly cruel, how would you like either something burned into your head or poison put on you when you are only a baby but also horns are considered essential organs that contribute significantly to the animal’s health, well-being, and the farm’s ecological balance.
Research indicates that horns play a vital role in communication within the herd, physical heat regulation, digestion, and metabolism They are living, blood-filled structures connected to the goat’s sinus system, allowing air circulation and functioning as sense organs that contribute to the animal’s overall vitality.
As you can see we are a little different so if you a health obsessed, maybe a little bold and crazy we are probably going to be a great fit. If you are just looking for cheap lawn mowers first of all get sheep or cows as goats are browsers not grazers but we just are not the right fit and we will not sell our animals to you.
We interview everyone we sell to before any purchase is made as we our goats to live their best lives so they can provide you with years of joy and fulfilment. If we sound like your jam get in contact with us on one of our social
WARNING: We warn everyone that comes to the farm that they will end up falling in love with goats and buying some so don’t say we didn’t warn you 😉
